Anthony Prieto was born in Palm Springs, California and was raised in Thousand Palms and Cathedral City, California to a single mother. He attended Cathedral City High School where he lettered in football and track and field. After beginning college at the University of Arizona after high school, Anthony eventually received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University, San Bernardino. Anthony then attended law school at California Desert Trial Academy, College of Law in Indio, California, where he received his Juris Doctor degree as part of the first ever graduating class, and soon became the first ever licensed attorney from the law school.
During law school, Anthony had the privilege and honor of being mentored by prominent Coachella Valley-based family law attorney, Sheila A. Williams. After graduating from law school and passing the California Bar Exam, Anthony continued under the mentorship of Sheila A. Williams as an associate attorney, wherein he gained invaluable legal knowledge and trial skills which are utilized in his practice today.
As the founder of The Prieto Law Firm, Anthony founded the firm to continue serving the Coachella Valley with the skills and knowledge gained in the practice of family law, which includes handling all facets of the practice area, from straightforward negotiation and preparation of pleadings to complex litigation. As a highly experienced divorce attorney based in Palm Desert, Anthony’s experience includes previously representing small and large asset clients in all types of family matters, in addition to defending clients in highly contentious domestic violence restraining order matters, assisting clients with uncontested family law dissolution matters, and matters including custody, visitation, and child/spousal support.
When not in the office or the courtroom, Anthony enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie, watching his two children in their dance performances/competitions and baseball games, and attending sporting events with his family. Anthony is a lifelong and avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and USC Football, as well as being a season ticket holder for USC Football.
